I wish you a wonderful weekend with your dear and beloved ones. Hope you will enjoy these moments in busy times like that.
Today I show you 2 of my passions:
1) is working with fine fabrics in checked and striped cotton, nicely matched to bring out the best.
2) is recyling-weaving out of milk- and juice packaging to create new and exiting baskets and bags in different colors sand shapes.
Still can’t show you secret Christmas orders. But one of my favorites I have produced for a customer earlier on: A soft stool which contains all bed cloth you would like to storage.
I always feel extra happy when i can combine the practical purpose with pretty, individual design.
One of the views out of my studio. Unfortunately now snow yet, but hopefully soon to come.
13th December: Saint Lucy’s Day
For my “not swedish fellow” here a short description of todays day:
St. Lucy’s Day is celebrated most commonly in Scandinavia, with their long dark winters, where it is a major feast day. In Sweden, where Saint Lucy is called Sankta Lucia, she is represented as a woman in a white dress and red sash with a crown or wreath of candles on her head. In both Norway and Sweden, girls dressed as Lucy carry rolls and cookies in procession as songs are sung. Even boys take part in the procession as well, playing different roles associated with Christmas. It is said that to vividly celebrate St. Lucy’s Day will help one live the long winter days with enough light.
